A historic house designed by E.B. Green needed its kitchen modernized while preserving the historical integrity of the home.
In this historic E.B. Green-designed house, we carefully balanced contemporary updates with historical preservation after water damage affected the kitchen. The summer entertainment space now boasts a 16-foot central island, custom inset cabinetry, and genuine marble floors and countertops. We partnered with Buffalo Plastering to craft a bespoke plaster fireplace, complementing the architectural restoration. By seamlessly integrating authentic finishes and incorporating the neighboring room's wood fireplace mantel, we transformed the kitchen into a modern entertainment area while preserving the house's authenticity.

By using authentic finishes and incorporating the adjoining room’s wood fireplace mantel into the kitchen’s design concept, we were able to convert this kitchen into a modern entertaining space while maintaining the house’s authenticity.
